Welcome to Panhellenic
A Letter from Our President to You
On behalf of the Panhellenic Executive Council and our 10 active chapters, I want to welcome you to Greek Life at FGCU! I would like to invite you to become part of FGCU’s most active, largest, and diverse women’s organization on campus, the Panhellenic Association.
The Panhellenic Association is the governing body of the ten active women’s fraternities on our campus – Alpha Chi Omega, Chi Omega, Delta Delta Delta, Delta Gamma, Kappa Delta, Phi Mu, Sigma Alpha Epsilon Pi, Sigma Iota Alpha, Theta Nu Xi, and Zeta Tau Alpha. Our job as the Panhellenic Association is to act as a liaison between our 10 chapters, the 2 other Greek Councils (National Pan-Hellenic Council and Interfraternity Council), and other campus organizations. You can find our community members throughout campus serving as Resident Assistants working for FGCU housing, holding positions within Student Government, giving tours as Campus Tour guides, in addition to holding countless other leadership positions on campus!
FGCU has a Greek Community that is like no other and we are tremendously proud of that. We thrive towards Greek Unity, as well as spreading Panhelleinc Love among our members. We as a whole are determined to crush stereotypes, work towards making our community the best it can be, and develop our values as Greek Leaders.
Each of our ten Panhellenic sororities focuses on the values of leadership, scholarship, sisterhood, and service. We not only impact our campus but the local community as well. Each of our organizations has exceptional qualities to offer, and I have no doubt that you will be able to find your perfect fit among them. I encourage you all to participate in our Formal Recruitment process this fall and hope to see you come August 12th.
I also encourage you to look into our Associate Member sororities: Sigma Alpha Epsilon Pi, Sigma Iota Alpha, and Theta Nu Xi. They each have their own set of values and philanthropies that they support as well. While they do not participate in our Fall Formal Recruitment, they do have their own recruitment and intake processes that they follow. The best way to find out about when they are taking members and how you can show interest in joining is through their social media accounts. You can find these social media accounts under their individual organization tabs under "Associate Members!"
On a personal level, joining a Greek-letter organization was the best decision I have ever made. Through my involvement, I have learned so much that will enhance my future, and help me when I graduate. My letters have made me the best version of myself, and I have no doubt in my mind it will do the same for you if you choose to go through Formal Recruitment or join one of our Associate Members!
Please browse our website to learn more about our community and our current ten chapters. Please follow us on Twitter and Instagram at @fgcupanhellenic, and like us on Facebook at FGCU Panhellenic Association. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact myself or any other executive board member!
Thank you for looking into our rapidly growing Panhellenic Community! We are so excited to meet you, and we are so happy you chose to attend Florida Gulf Coast University! We can’t wait to help you find your home away from home! Go Eagles!
In the Panhellenic Sprit of Love,
2020 Panhellenic President
